| News & Information: December 03, 2007: It's the end of the year and time to acknowledge our thanks and our plans for the future. Thank You all for a great year ('07) of photo business! Lynde and I have met many wonderful people this year and have made some great friends. We have been welcomed into your homes and lives, and have been privileged to be apart of so many fun events. I have been overwelmed by so much appreciation of our photography...thank you! We have some plans for this upcoming year and I would like to share some of them with you. I would also appreciate feed-back on these ideas and feel free to add some of your if you like...contact us! First of all, we are continually upgrading our photography equipment. This last year we made the full time shift to Canon. We look forward to adding some new wireless devices, some new expensive lens and possibly another mind blowing camera body! This helps me capture the most compelling images possible. Bottom-Line is the captured image makes an enormous difference in the final product which you receive. Second, we intend to upgrade our photo processing software. It seems that everyone knows Adobe Photoshop. The term 'photo-shopping' has become synonymous with picture editing. It has enabled us to do magic to our pictures...what I can't get right, Lynde makes right with Photoshop. This makes our final product really outstanding. Third, we plan on improving your picture viewing experience. We take great pride in being able to show you the pictures we capture very quickly after they are taken - usually within just a few minutes (30 to 60)! At some time this year we expect to implement a wireless system that will put the captured images instantly on our computer network. AND, with our wireless system, you will be able to securely browse our photos from your own wireless device - such as a notebook computer - while at an event. Fourth, we also intend to upgrade our existing computer equipment - faster networking (a giganet), implement a server (no more syncing computers), new computers, more modern and viewer friendly stands, more viewing stations (so less time waiting to look) and Windows Vista operating systems. The Operating System will give us some great advantages like: adjustable size "thumbnails", image tagging and 'sortable files'. Together we will tag each image which will enable us to: search and find your dogs name, bread, details of the dog like color, the handlers name, the event location, date, venue, runs, etc!!! This would apply to our youth sports, dance and all other photography. Fifth, very soon you will be able to order your prints on-line through our photo sharing web site (Zenfolio) - no more e-mail, phone or mail in orders will be necessary. AND, you will soon be able to pay with a credit card!!! Both on-line and at events. Sixth, as many of you know, we use only Epson professional printers, paper and pigment based UltraChrome archival inks. We would like to add a new 24" wide format professional Epson printer! This would allow us to continue our focus on amazing prints, make even greater enlargements - up to 24"x36" and produce stunning canvas prints of 16"x20". If you have never seen a framed 16"x20" canvas, they are remarkable! Seventh, many of you have asked about video. We will, with the help of a friend, at a few events this year ('08) offer video. This is especially important at dog agility trials, but we will also try it at baseball and a few other things...maybe dance, etc. It will be high quality, shot from a platform and the playback incorporated into our network. Eighth, my thoughts on more than one year in the future...I would like to take the automation that we bring to this photography effort all together by producing some sort of Kiosk. This would be a powerful on-site portable computer viewing station, contected via high speed wireless to our network, with an automated picture/video viewing, ordering and payment system that could be placed at any desired location at an event. They could be numerous and independent of our booth. And I have a few more surprises up my sleave, so stayed tuned. Please let me know what you think about our work!!! Contact Us through this web site or e-mail directly to kdevine@kc.rr.com We have had a great year and are very excited about next year!!! Thank you for your business! Lynde and I sincerely appreciate it! |
